Confessions of a Little Old Lady in Tennis Shoes (Part 3)
OK, this drawing from the book Confessions of a Little Old Lady in Tennis Shoes may just be the most unsettling Wiseman artwork ever. And I'm not easily unsettled. But what does it mean? I guess we'll have to read the accompanying poem (by Betty Fisher) to find out:

Well, that certainly clears everything up.
But now I'm even more unsettled...

What greater love than a gryphen and a rhino.
I guess I'll have to track down the "little old Lady" book now.
Speaking of stuff I've never seen,
there were times when Dad would decide it was time to fishing.
The amount of time he was gone often varied. Sometimes as much as a month.
During his journeys, he would often find a local watering hole that had a kitchen attached, and would get to know the locals.
My father liked to draw cartoon art of the menus sometimes, and they would be displayed in the bar/cafe.
I would think there are some lost Al Wisemans in these places, so check some of those old Northern California small town cafes, ya never know.

Jim,
I may have a second copy of the book I can send you.
Need to look around for it...
Now I have to go on a road trip to all the small California cafes and demand to look through their backrooms and storage areas for Wiseman art!
It's out there hiding somewhere...
