Charley Jones' Laugh Book Magazine- March 1951 (Part 4)
Hi. If you were visiting this blog yesterday (and I'm pretty sure I remember your face), you witnessed my latest inexplicable excavation of even the most infinitesimal aspects of the artwork produced by legendary cartoonist Al Wiseman.Or to put it in simpler terms, I blew stuff up real big.
And today, I'm enlarging many more tiny magazine covers to see if we can figure out their titles.
It's interactive internet entertainment at it's most riveting!

Above: Look and Song HitsWell, this art proves, once again, that good ol' Al gave folks more entertainment bang for their hard-earned bucks than most people really deserved.
So today, we'd like to thank him for all the extra effort.
Thanks Mr. Wiseman!

I like the cover on the look magazine.
Even the guy on the cover is staring at the lady.
Regarding blowing stuff up, Dad had a large photographic lightboard with a huge bellow on it. He called it the "Lazy Lucy". There is a picture of it somewhere. I once saw him blow up a dollar bill just for fun.
Glad the old man was not into
counterfeiting.

Sounds like he had a "lucigraph". I found this definition on the web:
"A light table with a pulley mechanism that moves up and down to increase or decrease the size of an image so it may be traced at different percentages. Also called a lucey."
I bet your dad could've been a pretty precise counterfeiter if he'd wanted to...
Al is drawing pretty girls and you're showing us magazine titles?
Where are your priorities?
OK BillyBatson- You asked for it.
Coming Tuesday on the Al Wiseman Blog: Naked Breasts!
